Al Hamra, the leading lifestyle developer and investment company in Ras Al Khaimah, announces the Al Hamra Boardwalk, a new beachfront leisure attraction within Al Hamra’s integrated tourism destination.
Upon completion, the Al Hamra Boardwalk will stretch from Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah to the Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Hamra Beach and cover more than a kilometre of pristine beachfront with unobstructed views of the Arabian Gulf and neighbouring Al Marjan Island.
Designed with families in mind, the Al Hamra Boardwalk will also have a selection of leisure, dining, retail and entertainment options that will serve to uplift the destination and Ras Al Khaimah’s tourism offering.
Key amenities along the boardwalk include a world-class dining, outdoor water zone, event zone, retail kiosks, and a wide range of kids’ and leisure activities. There will also be food and beverage kiosks throughout the destination operated by the surrounding hotels or third-party operators, as well as an entertainment area with a large outdoor screen.
Al Hamra Boardwalk will be accessible through the adjacent hotels or via a public entry point with dedicated public carpark. Al Hamra has also planned for the installation of a large, sustainable wind tower to utilise the coastline breeze and keep visitors cool during the warmer months.
Benoy Kurien, Group CEO of Al Hamra, said: “Al Hamra is at the forefront of Ras Al Khaimah’s development agenda with vast experience and heritage. We support leadership’s vision for the Emirate by consistently delivering many firsts and bests when it comes to the creation and development of lifestyle and integrated tourism destinations within the United Arab Emirates. The launch of the boardwalk project is a testament to our commitment to bringing in unparalleled global and diverse lifestyle to the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
“Al Hamra Boardwalk is just one of many exciting developments that we have in the pipeline along Ras Al Khaimah’s growth corridor which spans from Al Hamra Village to Al Marjan Island. And accordingly, to support our goals, we have already begun to improve the infrastructure of the entire destination area ahead of the re-opening of the Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah and introduction of the Sofitel Ras Al Khaimah Beach Resort,” he added.
Commenting on the project, Christopher Hewett, Senior Vice President Hospitality, Al Hamra, said: “The Al Hamra Boardwalk has been designed to provide hotel guests, residents and visitors with a world-class beachfront entertainment destination, where families and friends can come together to enjoy a carefully curated selection of lifestyle amenities within the pristine beaches of Ras Al Khaimah. The project further positions Al Hamra as the creator of a leading integrated tourism destination in the UAE and highlights our commitment to offering our local and global guests and visitors, memorable experiences.”
